This workshop is appropriate for library directors and trustees who are tasked with maintaining a library facility that meets their community’s needs.

 

Learning Objectives

 

A board-approved, prioritized facility plan is required to apply for the State Aid for Public Library Construction program in the Mid-Hudson Library System. This webinar is designed to introduce a basic document that can help you keep track of on-going and long-term facility issues.  

In this workshop we will:

  • Review a basic outline for a library’s facility plan


  • Point out both short term and long-term issues for consideration in the plan


  • Discuss where funds can come from for items in the library’s facility plan
